This Privacy Policy describes how Byz360 ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use our inventory, point-of-sale and accounting platform (the "Service"). By using Byz360 you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect three categories of information:

Account data — your name, email address, phone number, business name and tax PIN.
Business data you enter — products, prices, stock levels, customers, suppliers, sales, expenses, receipts.
Technical data — IP address, device type, browser, and usage logs for security and reliability.

2. How we use it

To provide and operate the Service for you and your team.
To generate the reports, dashboards and exports you request.
To send you account-related notifications (e.g. password resets, security alerts).
To improve the Service through aggregated, anonymised analytics.
To meet legal obligations (e.g. tax-authority record-keeping requirements).

3. What we never do

We never sell your data to third parties.
We never share your business data with other Byz360 customers.
We never use your customer or product data to train models for anyone else.

4. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on infrastructure providers with operations in East Africa and/or Europe. Backups are encrypted at rest. We aim to keep your data inside East African jurisdictions wherever practical.

5. Sharing with third parties

We only share data with third-party processors strictly required to operate the Service — for example, cloud hosting, email delivery, SMS gateways and payment processors (M-Pesa, card processors). These processors are bound by confidentiality and data-protection terms.

6. Your rights

You can export your business data at any time as CSV.
You can request deletion of your account and associated data. We will retain only records we are legally required to keep (e.g. tax records).
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

7. Cookies

We use cookies only for session management and security. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or trackers.

8. Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy we will notify you by email and inside the app at least 14 days before changes take effect.
